what should we expect from alotic?

Recommended Posts

as seeing i couldn't find this anywhere, it would be nice to know what we should expect content and bug status wise on launch. also what is the direction you plan on going with updates? to go the old school route and do community driven updates or do you plan on going a certain route and sticking with it. also how do you plan on keeping clans on your game? and in extension how do you plan on fostering a community?

To answer this question in an effort to pertain to every individual who may have or had the same question following its initial announcement, I will offer a comparison between Alotic and Soulsplit.

Soulsplit represents a game that is undoubtedly incomplete. In other words, it is a game where majority if not most of its core content being unfunctional/buggy/broken as you may say.

Alotic on the other end, offers a much greater emphasizes on stability when we take into consideration the quality and overall “polished” game. Although discussion hasn’t begun on whether or not Alotic would house OSRS content, the team is in strong belief that in order to cater to the community, we strive for the community to direct and hear the success of Alotic (with discussion ofcourse). With a modern advertising campaign, we plan on attacking all corners of the market to aggressively assert Alotic into the industry.

In regards to clans, this is a rather tough question. We can not secure the likeliness of clans committing to the game until they evidently try it themselves and find it a home where they would be interested to house their clans within. Nonetheless, we are open to suggestions on how we can promote this aspect of the game!

So that basically means that you are giving up on Soulsplit?

No. We have not given up on SoulSplit.

However, right now our focus HAS to be shifted toward projects that are going to bring in players/money, so that we're able to continue progress on ALL of our servers, including SoulSplit. The amount soulsplit makes vs the amount of money it would take in development and advertisements to bring it up to par with modern servers is more than we're willing to invest at the current time. This is the rational behind our shift of focus and ultimately, will provide more funding for SoulSplit in general and more potential traffic for our Network of servers. :P
